If you’re going to read this, don’t bother…There has to be something better on television. Or since you have so much time on your hands, maybe you could take a night course. Become a doctor. You could make something out of yourself. Treat yourself to a dinner out. Color your hair. (excerpted from Choke, by Chuck Palahniuk)
Listen: He’s right. There has gotta be something better for you to be doing right now.
Smart Went Crazy. Bluetip. The Breeders. Gaven Richard. Gay Tastee.
You don’t care about these bands (except maybe the Breeders), I know you don’t. I scour the blogs, I do google searches; Flickr is clean of their dated content. I should have called this Old News. Maybe I still will.
Go read about some new bands, don’t squander your valuable internet time reliving your past, scrubbing old memories till they shine like Jersey shore postcards. These posts will be self-indulgent and poorly edited, two highly unappealing characteristics to anyone who is, of course, not me. I find these factors comforting and less tedious, respectfully.
So unless you are interested in the internet as an archive, a place to catch up on some of those bands you may have missed, or want to use this webspace as another data point/case study for how a MPP candidate interprets music and some other cultural ephemera, then please, enjoy.
Put your feet up, I’m just borrowing everything in here anyway.
